Why do our parents lie to us a children? Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy? Our parents constantly tell "little white lies," to us as children. I believe I have a theory to this dilemma. Our parents were lied to, and their parents and it just becomes a cycle of lying. We as humans now do it as a sort of tradition. Christmas would not be the same without the idea of Santa Claus. How else would explain the gifts left to us on Easter Sunday, or the dollar under our pillows when we lose a baby tooth? These lies are not meant to hurt, but they are meant to carry on tradition.
